What I would like to know is why invest your time in game that the developers themselves are simply giving up on?It is not like they don't have to abaddon it they can make improvements on it as we know pve/pvp can be separated and they can buff char.s up

Is is differnet with pvp and I can understand with strange build concepts eg R/D with Scythe and N/Rt as well as Rit/N anyway that is the strange world of pvp.

We know they can't implement auction houses just put it on The Gurus auction and there are few other things.

There is another concern I have and that is the amount of achievements going on as it going down and the hours of Favour. It would seem like not to many are out making achievements in order to gain more favour.

They could just give out the text files and let us do some of the work like I do in my RTS games

Why continue to play a game the makers themselves are giving up on it is not like they make improvements on as well as some more add ons.It seems like GW fate is sealed by the Developers themselves. It is shame really when you look at it.There was so much potential (sp) for it and all our invested time just down the drain.

Thankfully AB/RA/FA pvp is still fun, but, yeah the pve game is gone. Sorry, I don't care to play all 10 characters through the same storyline and areas. That's not what I would call fun, but, just more repetitive play. The most fun now is just stomping assassins and rangers and devishers and well all melee classes in PVP. When I'm on now thas where you'll find me killin the melee over n over n over and then dancing on their heads a lil some.

If you don't find it fun then stop doing it. A game it supposed to be fun, if not stop.

Go outside and have some fun for a while, buy another game and play it until you either want to play GW again or come back to GW2.

I don't really see the point in so many people making threads about how board they are. We get several of these every week.

Just do something else -- it is really that simple !!

^^ Yep easy to say, but I like GW most of all and other games don't appeal to me as much.

So my only other solution is to start to read good books again while I'll be waiting for GW2.

Hero's did not kill PvE there are still plenty of people out there willing to pug. There just are not so many people where you happen to be. As the game goes on the older areas are mostly deserted. The players are spread over a much bigger area.

What we need it NEW CONTENT in the areas we already have, like a Sorrows Furnace. They don't have to be as big as SF, but on the level of what we get in GWEN. We need dungeons in all the existing Lands, lots of dungeons, in all those empty temples and doors you can find all over the land. One of the best times I've had in GW in a long time was the treasure hunt for my Black Moa Chick. More of this, Please! Charge us a 30.00 fee for an expanison pack that is not as lame as the mission pack for solo player you added. Anet seems to not understand that we felt the need to solo for massive rewards not because we wanted to solo for minimum rewards or that it was so much fun. If we had more content people would be happier for a while at least until it got stale. We need a frontier someplace to keep going or we get bored. New horizons, places to find, bodies to loot, new and better loot and more of it, then we would be a lot happier and playing more! We need something to do NOW, dreaming about GW2 is not enough.

If players did not suck, and if they were not ragequitters and pushy jerks, heroes would never have been needed.

Players kill PvE. Just like player are killing PvP.

People blame heroes because the heroes do a better job than they can, Which makes them mad. Heroes>Henchies>Players.

Also people play guildwars far to much and grow sick of it very fast. Remember the saying "Moderation in all things". You guys who have everything and played everything are expecting to much. Its only a game, there are many others out there. Stop playing gw for a while and pick up something new. In a few months after you have beaten a few new games, come back and gw will be alittle better. But not much.

mix of both. moderate how much you use heroes, and the experience will be better

Yes there is less to do, yes titles are basically the focus of PVe, however that does not mean the game is boring.

I enjoy vanquishing, even with H&H because I talk with my guild alliance before i do it. If i feel like I need time alone, i can do it alone with my H&H and its all good. Its not dried out, its just changed.

I think the only problem with Pugs is the massive area of the game (3 campaigns + eotn) the population is too spread out to be able to rapidly form groups.

About adding new content/realms of the gods, it wouldnt be too difficult to come out with a story line for them.

No it wouldn't take long to come up with a storyline, but it would take a massive amount of effort and resources - resources which are taken up with GW2 now - to program it.

And there isn't less to do - content from the game hasn't magically evaporated. It's still the same amount.

What happens when U take out the multiplayer? Yeah, you got basic RPG. And if you want that, you're better off with Fable or Oblivion.

Yes, I "herowayed" alot in PvE, but whenever I had the chance to take a real life person for a Vanquish, I'dd gladly kick a hero, for the pug (with whatever random bar he has). In another thread, I explain how good leadership can be the succes of a pug. Well, I myself (when I pug), I get 1 thing clear with the other people, and that is that they won't rage and/or do acts out of rage. (Screw up the vanquish because some guy over-aggrood)
I had a pug W/E with new non-infused armor in Hells Precipice HM the other day. He/She also brought along meteor shower. I think that player was just trying to aggravate the rest of the group but at the end of the day, we finished the mission. It was most excellent. The most fun I've had in a while.

You are totally right, my friend.

Yes, I too enjoy wasting time by relying on the fickle moods of people who play an online game.

Ok, so you got r8, but what exactly did you do to get there? Did you IWAY or SWAY it up there?

If you just farmed your fame, you didn't really get the experience. Find a guild that does HA regularly and plays a balanced build. Things like holding halls can be extremely fun.

I'm not sure what you mean by not being able to use a mic efficiently, but if you're worried about not being able to break into the GvG scene because you don't already play top 400 you need to step back and try again. A lot of guilds are out there specifically for people to break into the GvG scene.

my opinion..once bored with Guild Wars..do one more thing..fill out your HoM just for GW2. even for the poor people out there you can just make an assassin and perma SF UW for a few days and then you'll have enough to complete your HoM (mostly). then shelve GW until GW2 comes out.

It's almost sad listening to my guildmates on comms doing PvE these days.

Back in the day it was like...

"Ok, holy cow! We need to sneak past this group when they bunch up, then hug that corner and pull this mob here. We need tanks up front, and please get a crip shot on that boss. It's imperative that we interrupt his main skill, and after he's dead, just break off from attacking anything else and run to this point here, or the roving mob will kill us."

These days it's just...

*sigh* "So ya'll want to kill everything or run it?"

Heck, I have GW Orignal, Nightfall and Eye Of The North, and I have a few missions I havent completed in the orignal. as far as Nightfall, and Eye Of The North, I am not even close to completing it nor Hard Mode.

I guess I like to take my time and enjoy the game which I still do till this day.

Like any game, people sometimes get bored and need a break. Nice thing about GW considering WOW they charge you a monthly fee and its as if you should play it once a day because you are paying a fee.

I get bored with all games to be honest, so I move onto a shooter like Battlefield or COD 4, or on my PS3.

GW I think has still alot of potentional, and still is a most popular game. I love it.
